A pet accident that looks small on top is usually much bigger underneath. Urine runs down the fibres, spreads through the backing and pools in the underlay, where household cleaners never reach. When the air turns humid, the dried salts give off ammonia again and the room starts to smell.
We find every spot with a UV torch and a moisture meter, break down the urine with an enzyme treatment and flush it out from below with a sub-surface extraction tool. The whole room is then steam cleaned so the treated areas blend in with the rest of the carpet.
